The High Line

From the Park restaurant to the High Line there is only a street to cross and a few steps to ascend! The pedestrian footpath/garden was largely inspired by the French 'CoulĂ©e verte' in Paris. Both are set on old railways that use to run in what is now the heart of the city. I shall let you read about it on the High Line blog: http://thehighline.org/blog/tags/promenade-plantee . In Manhattan, Central Park is often the only park people visit but I can assure you that with its beautiful views, its French 'je ne sais quoi' and modern architecture the suspended park is worth the detour! Enjoy the walk!
