Park by the Park

For today I have picked a rather different venue, less cozy it's fair to say but just as unconventional! We continue the jungle theme it seems. Located in the south est part of Manhattan, Park is the ideal place for... well almost any occasion! It has five different 'rooms' with five different atmospheres so you can host a swank private party in the Atrium, have sexy cocktails in the Red Room or just a classy and yet exotic diner in the Main Room. The Penthouse room seems perfect for an after work parties with its elegant setting and exceptional views of the Skyline Park. But I shall write about The Garden room as it is where we met some friend for lunch. A change of scenery from all the tall buildings. For once you can see the sky thanks to the retractable glass roof! The interior is simply decorated with garden chairs and tables, industrial lamps and... trees (Wisteria wines and Japanese Maple tree to be precise)! It is wonderful to see how discretely lighted up plants can transform a place. When I say simply decorated that does not really apply to the huge throne-like tree I was sitting on nor to the few gnomes populating the place. The lunch menu is simple. pizzas, burgers salads, nothing too fancy to keep the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. Very romantic in the evenings.
