It is often difficult to find a little relaxed place to eat in a new town. Local restaurants owners can spot a tourist from miles and unfortunately you will often find yourself eating poor quality food and experiencing low standards of service because you were fooled by the banners indicating 'Traditional local cuisine'. For this reason I would like to share with you a secret address.
Klub Architektu is located a stone throw away from Charles' bridge in the Old town. The building features some interesting forms of Czech architecture, strait from the outside you know you are entering an 'arty' place. The food is tasty, nicely presented and very Czech. So is the price which is always an upside. The warm cellar atmosphere blends in perfectly with the modern wooden furniture and the elegant dimmed lights. It was the first time I tried Czech wine and... well I am sure you can have better bottles but it was just fine with the food.
Once your hunger has been vasts amounts of Czech food do not miss on the opportunity to buy some unique souvenirs. The shop on the ground floor is full of interesting design pieces. Beautiful glasses, chandeliers, vases alongside architecture books, Indi clothe and jewellery. Items do not come cheap but are of great quality and rather unique.
