The Peak

I almost feel obliged to start the telling of my Hong Kong escapade with the Peak. Unlike most of my posts this is not a review of a hotel or a restaurant but simply me sharing that breathtaking experience.
There is no better way to reach the top of Hong Kong island than embarquing on the old traditional tram. Well you could always walk (one has to be very brave) or take a taxi up but it simply does not have the same charm. The tram station was turned into a small museum relating the history of the Peak over the years. After a 10 minute ride, climbing at more than 45 degrees

Take a walk, and be patient. The promenade is 3km long and takes... Well it all dep ends how long it takes you to catch your breath when you finally see the view and how many pictures you'd like to take. Here are some pictures to give you an idea but the real thing... Words cannot describe. After all that walking you might feel hungry and if you are unwilling to part with the view why not dine at Cafe Deco. This restaurant serves good standard food without being gourmet. The menu is very surprising by it's variety. Not a must do. But a decent suggestion.
