Terre de truffes

Here comes my next Paris tip! I thought that it is not because Christmas is over that one cannot indulge anymore! Santa left some truffle flavor oil under the Christmas tree and after making delicious pasta dishes with it I wanted to try the real thing. I always wondered what the whole fuss was about with that expensive mushroom that's dug out by trained pigs (!). And since there is no better place in Paris to experience truffle than Terre de Truffes that is where we went.
Close to la Madeleine the restaurant mainly serves businessmen on important meetings and foodies in the evenings. Gastro critics also come often to judge the inventiveness of the chefs. And inventiveness there is, they can even produce a truffle desert!
The ambiance is chic and cozy but by no mean presumptions, you are here for the food and the food only. Actually this isn't entirely true the wine list is also great showing a selection of wines from Ventoux which is the region where you find the delicious mushroom! Great combination, great meal.
And if you did not have enough truffle well the restaurant is also a chic epidermis where you can buy anything to do with the sacred product. This ranges from the expert knife to the truffle raviolis and pasta sauces... Be careful you might be starting an expensive addiction but a truly tasty one!
