Braziou

Braziou!!!

On this blog i have already posted about Bresil (http://klercia.blogspot.fr/2013/04/the-perfect-day-in-rio.html) This time I'd like to share a totally different experience.

As kite surfing becomes more and more popular keen sportsmen travel further and further to find the perfect riding spots. The perfect spot is precisely what i intend to write about. Ilha de Guajiru il located 3 crazy taxi hours from Fortaleza which is 3 hours from Rio which is 10 hours from Europe. This is how remote that place is. No phone signal, no shops just palm trees and a perfectly flat laguna sheltered from the wavy ocean by a white sand dune. All that hassle traveling, totally worth it. All the accommodations of the 'village' are right by the water, no effort dragging your kit around, just pump that kite and of you go.

For the perfect mix of sports and comfort I recommend you stay at the Wind Village. Those four water front apartments share an infinity pool, sun beds, outdoor sound system and a direct access to the beach. They are modern, tastefully decorated with natural materials and have everything you need to have a comfortable stay.

When your muscle need a rest from all the exercise and you feel the need to experience the brazilian party spirit get into a 4x4 and head to Jericoacoara.

What a town, unique in so many ways. First you can only access it after crossing its large sandy national park. Bumpy ride, beautiful sights. 'Jeri' as most people call it was established by hippies in the 60 and has grown into the most incredible beach town. Thanks to a few strict urbanisation rules it has preserved its unmatchable charm: do nor build higher than the palm trees, no tarmac on the roads just sand. A multitude of charming poussadas welcome tourists from al over the globe. Jeri is the 'gypset' town by definition. It is just the right mix of trendy and authentic and it offers everything you might want. Delicious restaurants with very varied food ( a lot of fresh fish) unique shop ( Cachacarias) and elite fashion retail.

But what people often go there for is the party! Forget diner, eat grilled cheese and chicken skewers on the beach accompanied by the cocktail of your choice. The little trolleys bend under all the tropical fruit hanging from them, you pick your alcohol and and point at the fruits you like your drink will be made instantly and the party can really start...
