After an early romantic stroll by the water with gorgeous views of Manhattan we had worked a good appetite! My charming guide took me to what has to be the cutest place in Brooklyn! Set in a restored 1927 dining car the restaurant is full of surprises. From the outside it looks like an abandoned caravan. I thought this was some kind of joke as we headed towards the odd boxy-looking venue and I was amazed to see that the place wasn't deserted, on the contrary, it was pulling in the crowds! A long bar with many fixed stools, beautiful tilled floor, typical diner tables a friendly staff all together created an truly authentic atmosphere. This hip Williamsburg restaurant offers a deceptively basic contemporary American cuisine menu with simple recipes and fresh products (miam!). There is only one challenge, you will not be given a menu you can read the waitress will simply tell you what is on offer... Try remembering all the tatsy sounding dishes! 'Diner' is a well kept secret, we were the only tourists there mixing with young arty regulars. Embark on a journey through time for a real American experience and a full stomach!
