Le Crabe Marteau



This is as "Breton" as it gets! At least in my view Brittany is not about refined sophisticated or complicated food, it is about fresh sea products and conviviality! This is exactly what you will get at the Crabe Marteau. The restaurant is on the Brest port and has direct access to fresh sea food and fish. Get ready for some shell smashing. On arrival you get equipped with a hammer and a bib along with other tools to help you get the best out of the 1.5 kg zool crab. Meals are served on the local newspaper with salted butter, dark bread and a little white wine. The restaurant is decorated as a boat, with Breton music in the background you will feel as if you were on an old ship minus the sea sickness! Le Crabe Marteau is such a success that they have recently open a second venue at the heart of Paris, in the 17 eme. Enjoy!
